Mathematical Digital Works
Welcome to the Digital Works!
On this page, you will have the opportunity to assist your learning with problems, graphs, and websites that pertain to your class. These are interactive websites that help you supplement and have a deeper understanding of the subject that you are currently studying. These websites are also on the student resources page, are design for easy access and enhance digital learning. I would like for you to all explore these sites on your own time and convenience.

CALCULUS
Derivatives and Integrals (thatquiz.org) This is a supplemental quiz to check your understanding of derivatives and integrals. Make sure you have scratch paper to do show your work and retrace your steps. Here are your directions: 1. Once you click the link above, it will take you directly to the test site. 2. It will prompt you to choose a test. Please check on the left side bar, click on SOLVE under both derivative and integrals menus. 3. Take the Test and try to solve each problem in under a minute 4. You can adjust the amount of problems and level of the problems by clicking the upper left hand scroll tabs. (the default is level 1 with 10 questions) Vector Investigation (illuminations website) This is a basic understanding of vectors. You are on a boat trying to reach the island by entering a magnitude and angles. Here are your directions: 1. Click on the link and it should take you directly to the page. 2. You can practice on this first page and start to enter numbers into the "boat" portion of the tabs on the right (blue section) 3. If you like, you can click on the check box for the result to see what the final magnitude answer. 4. Try the game! (click on the tab above it and see how far you can go.) |
ALGEBRA 1 & 2
Match the Functions (illuminations website) Can you match the graph with the corresponding polynomial? This program is design to help with graphing functions and matching the degree of the function. After you correctly answered the degree, it will then ask you to find the particular function. Your goal is to match the computer generated function, and make the graph turn green (in which case, the answer is correct). After you can completed that, you then can try the other functions. The rest of the instructions are listed there, and it gives you a guide of how to navigate through the program. See if you can make everything on the left side of the list have a check next to it! Instructions: You need to use Internet Explorer or Safari (any browser that supports Java. Google Chrome does not support Java 64-bit) . Then click on the picture to start the program. Slope Intercept Game (Math-Play) This game helps with understanding how to turn equations into slope intercept form. This is great practice! You can see other ways to solve equations and if possible, factor it. You can play with another person if you like and have a battle to see who would score the most points. There are 3 different skill levels and it will ask you to solve these equations by multiple choice. I would recommend trying to solve the problems on scratch paper first before answering the problem. Be sure to answer correctly or else the crowd will be rough on you, because you missed your shot! |
